If you’re a fan of Nintendo Mario games, then you are in for a real treat! A Reddit user under the name of DistortoiseLP has been hard at work building a LEGO Bowser’s Flying Fortress, one of the coolest locations from Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and he has just released an update of his current build progress.
Staying loyal to his original LDD model (pictured below), DistortoiseLP has impressed many LEGO fans with the quality of his build. By mixing all sorts of different light and dark bluish gray bricks, he has been able to accurately replicate Bowser’s face as well as his castle. The way he used so many angled/sloped pieces, really adds depth and realism to Bowser. It’s interesting to see how this build isn’t “boxy” or too square-like thanks to his creative placement of the bricks. Similarly, the use of multiple trans-orange pieces and black chains helps create a evil villain layer vibe to the build.
It’s one thing to see a LEGO creation that was computer-generated, but it’s a completely different experience when you see that creation built out in real life. DistortoiseLP LEGO Bowser’s Flying Fortress MOC is out of this world and I can’t wait to see the final product once it’s done.
